Hey! I'm Derek Peterson. I work as a web developer at MRM in Birmingham and live in Ann Arbor. Head on over here to see what I can do or check out my (easily printable) resume. I am also a master's student at the University of Michigan. I spend most of my time running, reading about urbanism or economics, playing around with JavaScript, trying to learn new programming languages, and trying new Linux distros.

If you are looking to get to know me, you will have better luck on Twitter and, occasionally, on Tumblr. I am also on GitHub, and, now that I have experience using a few open-source frameworks and with git (this site!), I hope to start contributing to projects there in the near future. As school and work permit, naturally.

As a kind of post-script, this site is responsive, at least down to a 320px-wide screen. If you are on a smartphone or using Firefox (woo Responsive Design View!), I hope you will put that claim to the test. Of course, it will mean more once I finally get around to launching my blog on here (git push blog or something, right?).
